Some things about me

Hey there ! You can call me Rascar. I'm a french student in my 20s with many passions, and I hope to share (at least some of) them with you here. First of all, i love reading. I've been reading a minimum of 24 books per year since I could, and in every style : novels, science-fiction, romance, adventure, non-fiction... Basically, I read whatever I get my hands on.
However, I must admit that I've been reading less since I started playing videogames. To this day, I try to limit my time on them, since its not very productive, but whatever. These days, I mainly play TF2, Ultrakill and SCP:SL, but I also spent a lot of time on War Thunder, Neon Abyss, Balatro, KSP, Cities Skyline, and I speedran Getting Over It during lockdown.
Now, recently, I haven't had the time to keep playing as much as I used to. Studying has become pretty intense, in a weird way (the french school system is shit...) but hey, what I do is pretty interesting ! We study economics, geopolitics, maths, philosophy, as well as English and German. All in all, I love what I do right now. I've always been a pretty fast learner, and I always wated to learn as much as possible. I'll go to business school next year tho, so thats good.
Anyway, I can do so many things right now, including teahing myself how to code ! I first started on Scratch (ahhhh, the good ol' days...), then tried to learn the basics of C# for basic game design, Python for school (coded on paper of course), basic bash for linux (on a Thinkpad x260 iykyk) and now CSS, JS and html for fun. All of this is coded by hand with some help from the internet, but no AI. Now, keeping on the ongoing theme of tech, I love computers : renovated that Thinkpad of mine, built some custom PCs for friends, and did some tech support for petty cash.

All in all, if you feel that you fit here (or even if you don't), welcome ! Let me introduce you to the site : You're on the "About" section. The "Books" section is going to be full of book reviews, the "Music" should become a bunch of me yapping about music I like, "Games" will be the same but with video games, "Tech" will be for my tech projects and "Links" will be outgoing links towards (potentially) Youtube, Tumblr, BlueSky and other social media. Thats all I have to say, enjoy !
