Site updates:

Week 4 is over ! This week went by pretty quick, since i had the April fool's update covering most of the blog overhaul.

All i did these last 7 days was mainly clean up the code, reorganize things a bit, and did my homework... yup.

Still no real blog post, i'll try to work on some of that this week, but my exams are inching ever closer, so i dont wanna get burnt out.

Instead, you can enjoy the new "Tech" section, complete with a few Leetcode problems !

I really think that i have no self-respect.

I was getting tired of the posts being long and having to scroll a long time before getting to the beginning of posts, so i overhauled the ENTIRE post system, and rewrote every post. I really hope you guys enjoy the new system and layout, because i also rewrote and cleaned out some previous CSS, and started working on my own JS script.

You may wonder "Rascar, what is the joke ?". Its me. I'm the joke. I still have my exams, so yeah, the website isnt gonna be updated until potentially May, i hope.

Week three is over! I didn't do too much this week, mainly focused on the oncoming essay, but i'm not sure I'll finish it. I might post the draft in the new blog section, but ehhhh... Anyways, yeah, the elephant in the room, i separated the former blog section into a new "blog" (strictly me yapping) and "updates" (updates for the website) to make things clearer. And yeah, you'll have a blog post imediately, as well as a new post in "Games" !!! I haven't really had the time to watch movies recently (check out the blog for more...) but i'm trying my best to make this project into something to be proud of.

Despite all my efforts, things will slow down. My "finals" are pretty soon (another blog shill!) so i'm hoping to have enough time to keep updating this, but maybe developpement will be on hold. I still have many things i want to achieve, not including simply me yapping, so i'll do everything i can to keep the rythm going.

All in all, i'm still passionate and eager to learn. Teaching myself how to code is really helping me push things to the next level, and i still love it, ofe course. 24 hours in a day doesn't seem like enough to achieve what i want, and so, the tiniest developpements take days. Nonetheless, i haven't given up, and i have no intentions to.

Another week has gone by ! The project survives, despite my oncoming exams. I may unfortunately not do many things in April, and don't expect any updates between the 15th and the 30th (final exams...) but i digress.

I still love browsing neocities and seeing what cool things people do. I'm very inspired by some other amazing creators and remain creatively in awe of what web design is capable. With this in mind, i'd love to add some more touches to the overall look of the website, and that would include :

• Webrings
• Sitemap
• Better navigation
• Side bars
• And more.

Anyways, thats for later but in the meantime, I was able to do a Music post so be sure to check that out ! I also started drafting a video essay script, but that may take a loooooong time (i'm far from done).

All in all, not much this week but what was done was good. *note to self : be proud.*

Once again, not much will be done in the next few weeks but i'll try to do a movie post. Anyways, see you next week !

So, it's been a week! The about section should be up, as well as the Books section and the Games section with a first post each and a framework for the future. I also cleaned up a FUCKING METRIC SHIT-TON of crappy code (thx past me, very cool), redid the 404 page and did the first page, and added a framework for buttons... But learned so much while doing so !

This website is still, of course, a huge work in progress, but boy am I glad I started doing this. I never imagined this process to be so time-consuming, frustrating, and the payoff so good. I loved every second of building this, and am looking forward to working on it !

Next week, you can expect a new Blog post, as well as maybe a Music or Movie post !

Welp, this is my first post on this so hyia! I'm happy to report that, since March 10th / 9th, this website is online. I'd like to tell you how i got here with this.

I first heard about Neocities through this youtube video . I loved the sites so much that i decided to open my own. And thus was born this website.

I hopped on the site, read the tutorial, told myself "fuck it, i can do that" and started suffering. That first page took me a good 5-7 hours minimum as i'm writing this. But i learned so much about web developpement. I had never done any front-end ever (only Python and some little game-dev), so i'm learning something new every second.

This whole ordeal is growing pretty quick. The second page i did was the Error 404 page, and that lasted 2 days cause i learned to center a div. Then i developped the post system, and that was FUCKING LONG.

All in all, this is excruciating in the first few days, but still, absolutely fascinating.

I'll see where this all goes. I have finals soon, so i'll slow down the rythm if i need to (I'm spending at least a few hours a day on this right now) but for the moment, i'm not too burnt out yet.
